Level 3 Qualification – Level 3 Award, Certificate & Diploma in Facilities Management
The QCF Level 3 qualifications (Award, Certificate, Advanced Apprenticeship and Diploma) will develop your management skills and enable you to take responsibility and initiate projects in the facilities management industry. The course places an emphasis on providing you with the skills to understand which tasks are a high priority and complete these tasks efficiently and effectively.
The programme looks at corporate social responsibility and sustainability issues in facilities management and addresses aspects related to customer service, operational performance and estate management.

Who are they for?
Level 3 qualifications are for first‑line managers and supervisors in facilities management and are designed to develop understanding and knowledge of facilities management matters industry. They are suitable also for new recruits into the industry.
How are the qualifications assessed?
IBS qualifications are assessed against clear learning outcomes set out the knowledge and skills needed by facilities managers at different levels.
Assessment tasks are practical and work-based, reflecting live business projects and activities – a real benefit to both individual learners and their organisations.
How are the qualifications delivered?
You can choose the centre at which you study, which means you will have a choice of different delivery styles, including face‑to‑face, evening class, distance learning and online learning.

Level 3 qualifications in facilities management are available in three sizes and four qualifications are available; you can choose the size to suit your needs:

Award – will give you a succinct overview of the basic skills and knowledge needed at this level.
Certificate – will provide you with more comprehensive coverage of the subject.
Diploma – will provide the full package of skills, knowledge and understanding at this level.
Choose the units
Level 3 Award – 2 mandatory units totalling 11 credits
Level 3 Certificate (knowledge) – 4 mandatory units totalling 21 credits plus an additional 7 credits totalling 28 credits
Level 3 Certificate (competence) – 3 mandatory units totalling 14 credits plus an additional 14 credits totalling 28 credits
Level 3 Diploma – 5 mandatory units totalling 26 credits plus an additional 22 credits totalling 48 credits

- Minimum two-year experience in facilities and building senior assistant
- Minimum O-level or Secondary Certificate with one year experience in the industry.
